About this class

In this workshop, you'll transform a garment you already own into a one-of-a-kind piece that reflects your personal style.

Using printing tools, fabric ink, and uniquely designed stamps, we treat existing clothes as our canvases. We explore how intentional interventions can create something new and exciting. We work with a design-first approach - thinking about placement, rhythm, and expression - before bringing ideas to life through printing.

This workshop is about more than learning a technique. It's about discovering that you can create something beautiful yourself - and enjoying the process along the way. No prior experience needed: we experiment, play, and trust the human touch to create something personal, expressive, and full of character.

The workshop will be held in English, but the instructor also speaks German and French and is happy to clarify things in either language if needed.

What you’ll do in the class

In this 2.5-hours workshop, you'll design and create your own unique garment from start to finish.

We'll begin by looking at the clothes as blank canvases and exploring creative possibilities. You'll test printing techniques on scrap fabrics to build confidence, then develop a design plan and bring it to life on your garment.

There's plenty of space for experimenting, asking questions, and getting playful with your work.

Who is the class suitable for?

This workshop is ideal for:

  • People who are curious about design and printing
  • People who care about their clothes and want to revive stained, old, or forgotten pieces
  • Anyone tired of fast fashion who enjoys wearing unique, personal garments

No prior experience is needed - this is a relaxed, supportive space that values play, experimentation, and human touch.

I had such a wonderful experience! Ningal really knows her craft and was super patient and encouraging. She explained everything clearly and created a welcoming atmosphere where everyone felt comfortable experimenting and expressing their creativity. You can really feel their passion for the craft and it makes the whole experience even more inspiring. The materials were great and thoughtfully prepared, with plenty of tools and options to play with. You could really tell care had gone into organizing everything. I came in not totally sure what to expect or what I’d create, and left with a piece I’m actually proud to wear. I learned practical printing techniques and I now look at old garments completely differently. It was creative, hands-on and genuinely empowering. I’d absolutely recommend it to anyone curious and wanting to try something new in a really welcoming environment.
