About this experience
In this pottery workshop in Augsburg, you will translate your creative ideas directly into ceramics. Whether it's an espresso cup, a small bowl or a decorative object — you design your own work piece from start to finish. Step by step, you will shape and decorate the clay with your own hands, learning the basics of pottery.
An experienced ceramist will guide you through the entire process and help you implement your ideas. The workshop is suitable for both beginners and advanced users and is held in German or English. Your finished pieces are waterproof, frost-resistant and dishwasher-safe. All materials and firing are already included in the price.
How does this experience take place?
After a welcome speech, during which everyone introduces themselves and thinks about what they would like to design, workshop leader Kate explains the basics of pottery and clay preparation. She guides the group through the first steps together before helping each individual bring their designs to life.
During construction, Kate provides tips, tricks, and answers to all questions while participants explore the art of clay molding.
Once the pieces are formed, participants can think about decorating their pieces and choose their favorite colors while the pieces dry until they can be painted. In this decoration phase, Kate discusses the ideas of each participant and advises them on how they can best achieve the desired result.
After completing the workshop, the pieces are slowly dried and fired at 1250 degrees to ensure that each piece is waterproof and dishwasher safe, and can then be picked up.
