Designing a monotype portrait in Augsburg
Find your flow and take time for yourself and the group. The course is suitable for beginners and advanced learners. It gives you a creative start and space to switch off.
Meet yourself from the inside out and work with a monotype photo, i.e. a one-time print. You're experimenting together. For us, the experience counts more than the perfect result.
We use:
- wax pencils or oil crayons
- watercolors
- Elements for collages

What to bring to the class
- A desire for creativity and new impulses
- A photo of you (DIN A4/DIN A5), on which you are easily recognized, in black and white or in color, on normal copy paper
- Durable clothing that can be colored

What you’ll do in the class
After a small greeting, we come to rest together to start the creative exercise mindfully and relaxed. As an introduction, there are a few examples and a short round of talks on the subject of selfies and self-portraits.
We explain the monotyping technique before we start experimenting together and each one on our own. We start with the one-time printing process and then move on to paint and brush - in addition, there are elements for a collage. Value-free, process-oriented and open-ended: What counts for us is the experience, not the result.
Who is the class suitable for?
For beginners and advanced users.
It is a creative course, free from any promise of healing. Not recommended for mental illnesses or only after consultation with a doctor.
