About this class

There are countless colors in nature and at any time of the year we can collect other flowers, leaves, berries or roots to color with them. In our workshop, you will learn the ancient art of dyeing with natural materials and we will dye a linen tablecloth together using the “bundle dye” technique.

However, it is not only natural elements from nature that are used, but also various food scraps that we can collect in our kitchen every day. These include: coffee grounds, onion peels or even avocado peels, wilted red cabbage leaves, turmeric husks and more.
By further processing these leftovers, we make our contribution to protecting our environment and deliberately not using chemical dyes.

In the interactive workshop, we will guide you through all steps of textile dyeing and will also be happy to help you develop a unique pattern.
At the end, you can bring your own hand-dyed linen towel (tablecloth/picnic blanket) and will also receive a list of materials and instructions on how to imitate it.
