About this class
Working energetically with Yantras combines visual concentration, sound, and spatial orientation to change the vibration in you or your environment. They are not seen as mere images, but as energetic machines that are “switched on” by your attention.
1. Meditation through fixation (trataka)
The most common method is trataka meditation, in which you focus your gaze rigidly on the symbol to focus your mind.
- Preparation: Place the yantra at eye level in a quiet room.
- Focus: Take a relaxed look at the central point (Bindu). Try to blink as little as possible.
- Visualization: After a few minutes, close your eyes and try to keep the afterimage of the yantra as detailed as possible in front of your inner eye. This should harmonize the brain hemispheres and align the energy centers (chakras).
Create your own energy image and let yourself be guided by the energy and use its creative power to develop what you need to conquer your goals. It is an amazing discovery what kind of companion your personal yantra can be. You will be impressed by the benefits. You create the opportunity to pause, breathe, and realign yourself with your deepest intentions. By embossing an energy image, you enter a meditative state. It is a kind of “guide” to the heavenly world, to more self-love and joy of life.
Experience community in a calm and mindful group of a maximum of eight mindful people. Would you like to create your own personal energy image? When did you really have time for yourself and your wishes and were you creative the last time? At the end of the workshop, you will have created your own personal energy image and valuable connections to yourself and the heavenly world. You'll have something very special then. Treat yourself to this day and dive into silence.
Expiration:
We come together in a trusting group and I will introduce you to the world of the Vedas and the opportunities for energy realignment. You get to know your personal energy from a Vedic perspective and are enthusiastic about a yantra from the Vedic culture. The palm leaf libraries will also teach you how energy rooms work, so that you can correctly choose the best place for your yantra and how it works.
What you’ll do in the class
A yantra course is usually a mix of theoretical knowledge, creative design and meditative practice. Depending on the focus (painting meditation or energetic sadhana), the content varies, but often follows a classic structure:
1. Theoretical Introduction & Symbolism
First, you'll learn to understand the “vocabulary” of sacred geometry.
- Meaning of the shapes: What do points, circles and nested triangles do psychologically and energetically?
- Mythology: Introduction to the deity or planet that the Yantra represents (e.g. Narashimna for divine will or Sri Yantra for the divine mother).]
2. Drawing and embossing (on copper or silver or gold paint)
- Precision: You learn how to construct the often complex geometric lines precisely step by step.
- Mindfulness: Coloring is practiced as a “painting meditation” — each imprinting is done in conjunction with the breath or a quiet mantra.
3. Energization and ritual work
A yantra is only considered “alive” when it has been activated.
- Mantra recitation: You learn the specific mantra to charge the yantra with sound vibration.
- Puja (ritual): Introduction to simple rituals such as offering light (candle), incense or water to strengthen the connection to the symbol.
- Installation: Where and how is the best place to place the finished work at home for maximum protection or harmony?
4. Meditative use
At the end of the course, you will use your (self-created) Yantra for practice:
- Concentration exercises: Guided meditations to focus.
- Inner journey: Visualizing the various levels (Avaranas) of the yantra in your own body or mind.
Who is the class suitable for?
Creatives and aesthetes
- For you, if: You enjoy drawing or painting and are looking for a new form of artistic expression.
- The focus: This is about the fascination for sacred geometry, precision and the interplay of form and color. You don't have to be a professional artist; the “beginner spirit” principle is often very helpful.
2. Meditators and mindfulness seekers
- For you if: It is difficult for you to sit still or calm your mind during classic sitting meditation.
- The focus: Drawing and coloring serve as an anchor. The repetitive, precise work almost automatically leads to a “flow state” that calms the mind.
3. Spiritual Practitioners (Yoga & Tantra)
- For you, if: You want to deepen your yoga or meditation practice and are looking for tools to release energetic blockages or strengthen certain qualities (such as clarity or protection).
