About this class

In our Ayurveda breakfast cooking class, you will learn how to balance energy and digestion (Agni) in the morning by avoiding heavy, cold food and preparing warm, easy-to-digest meals instead.

This is what you can expect in the course

  • Theory & basics: Introduction to the three doshas (Vata, Pitta, Kapha) and how they influence your ideal breakfast. You often do a small constitution test to determine your own type.
  • Practical preparation: Cooking dishes such as hot cereal porridges, steamed fruit and spiced teas together.
  • Spicology: You will learn how to use spices specifically according to your doshas to stimulate the digestive fire.
  • Morning routines: Tips to start the day, such as drinking warm water or breathing techniques.
  • Eating together: The course ends with enjoying the prepared food in a relaxed atmosphere.

Our Ayurveda breakfast cooking class includes all the necessary materials, food and documentation so that you can participate without preparation.

Our inclusive services:

  • Foods & ingredients: High-quality organic food, seasonal fruit, grains, and a wide range of Ayurvedic spices and ghee.
  • Scripts: Manuscript with the course recipes and theoretical basics of the doshas.
  • Food & drinks together: You will then enjoy the prepared food together with the group. Hot drinks such as ginger water, herbal teas or Ayurvedic stimulants are included.
  • Rental equipment: Cooking equipment and cooking aprons are available for the duration of the course.
  • Theory units: Short lectures and workshops to determine your constitution type and spice science.

What you’ll do in the class

Our Ayurveda expert Martin puts together a delicious menu, which we then serve in a group. We always cook vegan. Depending on the size of the group, you will be happy to get involved in the preparation.

All you bring with you is the joy of preparing food. Basic Ayurvedic knowledge or cooking experience is not required — beginners are welcome.
