What you’ll do in the class
After a brief welcome, you will explore Monyo, traditional Japanese patterns, and traditional Japanese colors. Then you will design your tray step by step:
- Select a Monyo pattern and color combination
- Sand and prepare the wooden elements
- Color the wooden elements
- Assemble the individual parts
- Fit the tray together
- Make final adjustments and finish your tray
Finally, we pack your finished tray in a hand-dyed washi paper bag so that you can take it straight home.
