Class description
Rent a houseboat in Berlin, no license required! Made of wood by Jan and his team in their Berlin workshop, our water carriage boats enchant with careful handwork — making each houseboat special unique. At just 6 meters long and 2 meters wide, they are easy to control and offer every comfort you need. The quiet, pollution-free electric motor also makes it possible to travel to nature reserves. The sun deck, aft deck and front deck invite you to do gymnastics, jump in — or simply lie around.
What is the process?
We have put together a fine selection of our favorite tours for you: Explore the seemingly endless expanses of Berlin's water world with water carriages, anchor on Berlin's most beautiful beaches or discover old industrial ruins. From the water, you get a completely new picture of the city and its surrounding area!
We can send you the tours in advance or you can decide spontaneously on site. From day trips to multi-day tours, everything is possible. We'll help you design the perfect tour.
This is how it works if you have booked a WATER CARRIAGE: As a rule, you will arrive at our jetty near Oberbaumbrücke at around 10 o'clock, receive a detailed briefing on your boat — and off you go. Drop off either the same day around 19:00 or on one of the following days at the same time. The longer you book, the cheaper the days get on average.
There is only the following to consider: Your time and the capacity of the batteries on board. If you drive at full power, you have to charge after two hours. If you are satisfied with moderate speed, you can be on the road for a good 8 hours — and if you take it easy, you can even drive for 8 to 12 hours before you have to recharge.
We'll help you choose the right destination and speed and provide precise information on how far you can travel at what speed — and where the batteries can be recharged halfway on a jetty, for example overnight. For example, there are numerous guest berths available along the way to recharge your batteries, which you can easily access using the water card that we will provide you with.

Anyone who books with us becomes part of the water carriage family. Because that is who we are. We build the boats ourselves, maintain them ourselves, equip them — love them.
