In our workshop, you will paint your own porcelain carnival order — made especially for you by Porzellan Studio Philyra at Areal Böhler. As individual as your costume, your troupe and your ability to spread glitter everywhere.
Fun fact from carnival history:
The carnival order was invented in Cologne because people wanted to make fun of the military Prussians.
In short:
The people of Cologne say: “Oh, you have medals?
It's cool. We'll make our own. More colorful. Bigger And with a lot more riot! ”
In 1824, a carnival princess presented a medal — and promptly received one back.
And wow, since then carnivalists have been collecting medals like other fridge magnets (just shiny and heavier).

What you’ll do in the class
In this creative workshop, you will create your very own porcelain carnival order. The handmade blanks were made exclusively for you by Porzellan Studio Philyra at Areal Böhler and are ready to be painted.
With special porcelain pens, you can individually decorate your medal with texts, symbols or motifs — according to your taste and in keeping with the carnival season. Whether classic, humorous or colorful: There are no limits to your creativity.
After the paint has dried slightly, your medal is fired one last time. You can then take your finished unique item with you right away — ready to wear, give as a gift or to celebrate in style.

No previous experience required. For anyone who wants to design and wants to create a special piece for the carnival season.
