About this class

In this special workshop, participants learn how to create individual pieces of jewelry from simple metal. Under professional guidance from Dipl. Ing. Annika M., basic techniques of metal embossing are taught: precise stamping of metal surfaces, professional shaping of rings and bracelets, and controlled bending for a clean, wearable result.

The workshop combines technical know-how with creative design. The participants learn how metal behaves, which tools are used for what purpose and how writing, symbols or patterns are permanently and cleanly embossed into the material. Step by step, a personal piece of jewelry is created that is both high-quality and individually designed.

The workshop is suitable for beginners as well as for creative people of all ages who want to create something unique with their own hands. No previous experience is required — in the end, all two of them take home their own unique pieces of jewelry.

What you’ll do in the class

This is how the workshop works

Welcome & introduction At the beginning, we get
to know each other and you will receive a short, understandable introduction to the materials, tools and safety rules. I explain what is important when working with metal — calmly, vividly and easily understandable even for children.

Idea & Design
You think about which piece of jewelry you want to design: ring, bangle or pendant for the necklace with name, word, date, symbol or pattern. I will help you with the planning so that your design is technically easy to implement later on.

Getting to know the material
Together, we'll look at the metals and discuss their properties: How strong they are, how they can be bent and what you need to pay attention to to make the piece of jewelry sturdy and comfortable to wear.

Embossing & stamping metal
Now it's getting practical: You'll learn how to apply stamps correctly and how to emboss letters, numbers or symbols cleanly into the metal using the appropriate technology — step by step and with individual support.

Bend & shape
Then shape your stamped piece of metal into a ring or bangle. I'll show you how to bend evenly, get the right size and get clean curves.

Fine tuning & adjustment
Your piece of jewelry is adjusted, checked and bent when necessary so that it fits well and is comfortable to wear. Minor corrections turn the workpiece into a real piece of jewelry.

Finishing & taking away At the
end, you hold your self-made, individual piece of jewelry in your hands — a truly unique piece that you can wear or give away immediately.
