About this class
Do you want to take a look at the craft of bookbinding? In this creative workshop in Dachau, you will have the opportunity to learn basic working methods and the associated materials in their application. In this workshop, I will lead 3 different bindings. Bindings such as Japanese book block binding, school book binding, French decorative stitch stitching or the criss-cross method are well suited for such a one-day, adhesive-free frame.
What you’ll do in the class
We'll start with a brief introduction to the materials and what to expect.
Then I will guide you step by step through the individual bindings. I work in small groups of around 6 participants to guarantee personal attention. Everyone has their own pace of work and I will pick you up. The time is set up in such a way that we can work completely stress-free. So there will also be plenty of breaks and time to laugh!
And if there is still time left at the end, it can be used to design the finished books.
