Hi, I'm Michélle,

... Even as a child, I was always drawn to the countryside, away from the city, to my relatives on the farm. There, animals were my friends and meadows and forests were my playground. This connection with nature has had a profound impact on me and is still with me today. While studying biology, I initially thought that my future lay in research. My specialization in developmental biology as well as molecular biology and biochemistry of plants led me into the world of laboratory work and biomedical research. But in my mid-twenties, I began to ask myself what was really important to me and what values I represent. This self-reflection led me back to my roots, back to nature. Surrounded by wild plants, I not only found peace and balance, but also a passion for the diverse opportunities that nature offers us. I was deeply inspired by the discovery of their ingredients and their use for a healthy life. Today, protecting nature, maintaining biodiversity and promoting sustainable lifestyles has become my lifeblood. Since 2020, in addition to environmental education, I have also been involved in education for sustainable development for children and adults. My training as a herbal pedagogue (2020) and as a pedagogical specialist (2021) enables me to work even with the youngest generations and to get them excited about nature. What began as a personal journey of discovery quickly became a source of enthusiasm and commitment. In 2020, I decided to turn my passion into a sideline and founded Wildkräuterfunken. The name should symbolize how we can let inspiration from nature sparkle like small sparks. That's how I began to share my knowledge about wild herbs and sustainability in workshops and hikes. At the end of 2023, I made the bold decision to make wild herb sparks my main purchase. This decision was driven by constantly growing demand from a wide variety of sectors: from individuals who were looking for a connection to nature, to schools and daycare centers that sought innovative educational opportunities, to companies that wanted to train their employees and sensitize their employees to environmental issues. Today I am proud to be the founder of Wildkräuterfunken, a place of inspiration, education and collaboration. Here, we let sparks of enthusiasm and knowledge shine to create a world that lives in harmony with nature. With wild herb sparks, I am pursuing a vision that is not only about spreading knowledge, but also about creating awareness and inspiration from nature. Together, we can spark sparks and create a more sustainable world.
