Get to know Theresa Reiter

My world is free art, bookbinding and everything in between. But how did I get there?

2013/The enthusiasm to create things by hand has been there for as long as I can remember. I followed the fascination and completed my bachelor's degree in art education at LMU. There I learned about the wonderful craft of paper processing in a bookbinding seminar. I fell head over heels in love with material and work. My hands felt at home here.

2016/I decided to give it a try and applied to the Burg Giebichenstein Academy of Art in Halle an der Saale for the book art class. The circumstances made me get there and dive into the world of bookbinding and artists' books for a few years. But one aspect was still missing for me.

2021/In the course of these experiences, I came to love the fact that art can and is so much more than my own artistic practice. I came across art as a therapeutic option for people of all ages and classes and rounded off this feeling with a master's degree in visual design and therapy at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich.

Today I create connections from everything and am happy to be able to share my passion and expertise! On the one hand, I work independently as a bookbinder, artist and artistic assistant. I also work as an art therapist in a clinic.
