Get to know Dominik Einfalt
Hi, I'm Dominik Einfalt, designer and transmedia artist from Styria, currently living and working in Vienna. In my work, I explore the interfaces between technology and nature. In doing so, I cooperate with living organisms, which I see not only as materials but as creative partners. In 2024, I founded troost — a design studio dedicated to combining living materials such as fungi and bacteria with contemporary manufacturing techniques such as 3D printing and thus creating hybrid, living objects.
I share my cozy studio in Meidling with a friend — and with numerous living mushroom objects that continue to grow there.
The special thing about my courses is working with completely new, lively material. I'll show you how to grow objects yourself and I'm happy to introduce you to the GIY (Grow-it-Yourself) movement. 😁
