About this class

Experience an inspiring drawing class surrounded by ancient works of art at the Museum for Castings of Classical Sculptures in Munich.

In the museum, we take a closer look and practice drawing bodies, proportions, light and shadow. Here we have the opportunity to see plaster casts of ancient statues up close and learn more about the creation of such copies. In creative drawing exercises, we dedicate ourselves to copying these impressive statues in order to skilfully capture proportions, light and shadow. All you need is a pen, paper, and your eyes.

When we work creatively, we create something unique and personal. With every creative work, we once again perform a creative act. Time seems to stand still for a few hours — or has passed in no time at all.
