About this class
This training is a 200h Hatha and Vinyasa Yoga teacher training (RYS-200) certified by Yoga Alliance. Vinyasa is currently the most popular yoga style in German-speaking countries. It thus forms a solid foundation for officially teaching yoga and gives you a training path based on internationally established standards as a yoga teacher — based on the Yoga Alliance's Elevated Standards and our state recognition as an AZAV educational institution.
The renowned 16-day intensive course takes place twice a year (at Easter & in autumn) at the be yogi Campus & Retreat in Karlsruhe. During this time, you — accompanied by experienced training instructors — will get to know yoga from the ground up in theory and practice and learn to pass on the content clearly and responsibly.
After this training, you will be well prepared to work as a yoga teacher — you will receive a solid basis for teaching your first yoga classes and continuing to develop as a yoga teacher.
Based on this, you can complete 300h training at be yogi.

What you’ll do in the class
The timetable is well filled during the 16 days of training: As a rule, a training day lasts from 8:30 in the morning to 19:00 in the evening. Of course, there is always a lunch break with enough time to eat, as well as a few short breaks to take a deep breath.
We often start with meditation or a relaxing yoga session in the morning, during the day we focus on the many interesting topics on the curriculum and in the evening we usually end with a more dynamic yoga lesson. We have also set aside time for freelance work at home, during which you can deepen your knowledge at your own pace and fill out your workbook.
The lessons are a varied mix of group work, practical exercises and lectures. You can always actively participate and contribute your strengths. Since we accept a maximum of 15 students per course, there is always enough time for individual questions and sufficient repetition so that you can safely pass your exams.
Who is the class suitable for?
You should be at least 18 years old to participate in our 200h yoga training course. If you are younger, we need your parents' written consent. Otherwise, your age doesn't matter — our previous participants were mostly between 30 and 35 years old, but younger and significantly older yogis and yoginis (up to over 60) have also been there.
It is important that you already have experience with yoga asanas — ideally, you have been practicing regularly for one to two years. You don't need to have acrobatic skills such as headstands or handstands. Instead, you should enjoy diving deeper into your practice and working intensively on the background of yoga. Our training is physically demanding, but open to everyone who is enthusiastic about it.
In principle, you should be physically healthy and resilient. Pregnancy or minor physical limitations do not automatically preclude participation — it is important that you respect your own limits and treat yourself with care.
We also recommend that you take a few yoga lessons with our teachers in advance of the training. This gives you a good idea of what to expect.
