About this class
In this knitting course for beginners, you will learn the basic knitting techniques (start and finish a project, make stitches, sew threads and right and left stitches). The course is divided into two dates.
In the end, you take home your first piece of work you knitted yourself. It can simply be a square, but you can also make a wrist warmer out of it or a bow as a pin on your jacket. There are no limits to creativity.
What you’ll do in the class
After arriving, we briefly get to know each other as a group. This is followed by a small theoretical part, but this is absolutely necessary in order to be able to successfully start other projects yourself later (material science, tools, yarn thicknesses). You can choose your yarn (only pure virgin wool or merino wool from well-known brand manufacturers) and get the appropriate knitting needles.
We'll start the practical part right away:
You'll learn how to start a knit piece (tie stitches), how to hold the yarn and how to make right stitches.
On the second appointment, you will learn the left stitches and how to finish and finish the knit.
In the end, you will go home proud with your first self-knitted piece!
You don't have to bring anything, all materials are provided.

This knitting workshop is suitable for beginners. You don't need any previous experience. Just bring along a good mood and the desire to learn something new.

In my light-flooded studio “Nadelwerk am See” in Schorndorf near Stuttgart, I offer various workshops for beginners and advanced users on crocheting, knitting, sewing, upcycling and “Repair-First Aid”.
We were there for a knitting class in October and Maren made an appointment especially for the 3 of us. We all had a lot of fun and actually learned to knit a Sophie scarf. We will definitely be back to start a bigger project!
