About this class
Design your own ceramic set or particularly individual pieces and objects on the potter's wheel!
In a small group of max 4 participants, we go through the process of making ceramic together step by step — from kneading clay, turning and turning on the potter's wheel to glazing your turned work.
What you’ll do in the class
On the first day, we start with a short introduction to clay and prepare the clay for the potter's wheel. After a demonstration of turning on the potter's wheel, participants are invited to model the sound on the disc. Basic techniques, tips and tricks are taught.
The following day, the 2nd session, it continues with turning off the ceramics produced the previous day. This means that the silhouettes can be reworked and refined. In addition, handles can be shaped and attached and signatures can be placed on the bottom of the ceramics.
After 7-10 days of drying, the ceramics are sand-fired at 950° C. to prepare them for the upcoming glaze.
In the 3rd session, we glaze all finished pieces and focus on the color design of the individual ceramics. This is followed by glaze firing at 1240° C.
After glaze firing, the ceramics are ready for their new home. They can be picked up at the studio, delivery is also possible (choose an add-on)
Who is the class suitable for?

Studio leramics
In my courses, I would like to give you an insight into the craft of pottery and help you implement your idea with clay as a material. In doing so, I value individual support and a relaxed and respectful workshop atmosphere on equal footing
