About this class
In this pottery course at the turntable in Rostock, you will receive individual lessons at the pottery wheel. Thanks to intensive 1:1 support, you can learn how to make pottery at your own pace and will be guided step by step.
From the first contact with clay to the finished vessel, you will learn the basics of turning the disc. We then take care of drying, glazing and firing your works.
There are also material costs of 8 euros per kilo of finished ceramic. This covers the costs of clay, glaze, scrub and glaze burn.
Alternatively, you can also add the add-on for 40€ and this already covers all material costs.
What you’ll do in the class
After a short practical introduction to the basics of pottery, you get straight to work: at the turntable, you will learn the most important steps, tips and tricks to create your own work of art.
With the guidance and support of the instructor, you can create your own container, such as a cup or a bowl.
After the course, your workpiece must dry for at least 2 weeks. It is then glazed and fired twice. After that, by appointment, you can pick it up at the studio and enjoy your new work of art at home.
