About this class
We design and bind individual books with a decorative opening on the spine. Each book is different and unique. Individual layers of old book pages, calendar sheets, magazines and various papers are inserted together and sewn together. This binding works completely without glue. The result is wonderful to use as a sketch or travel journal, or even for recipes and notes.
What you’ll do in the class
- Arrive and feel good
- Introduction to bookbinding technology, presentation of design options
- Prepare and cut the various papers
- fold the individual layers of paper
- Preparation of the envelope
- Sewing and stapling the book
