About this experience
Two-hour sports boat experience through the UNESCO World Heritage Site “Upper Middle Rhine Valley”
Better right through, rather than past it.
Actively experience the Rhine from its most beautiful side. Together and under the guidance of one of our experienced driving instructors, the participants enjoy, as captain at the helm of one of our modern sports boats, the impressive landscape of the “Romantic Middle Rhine” or the fascinating natural landscapes of the Rhine floodplain towards Mainz.
No pleasure boat license is required for our sports boat experience. The trainers practice the most important manoeuvres with the participants in advance and are right by your side the whole time. This makes captain training the perfect opportunity to actively experience the fascination of water sports and the wonderful nature of the Rhine Valley.
Our sports boats are so well motorized that captain training can also be a fast-paced experience. Towards the end, we take an anchor break in the Rheinauen to review the Rheintastic experience with a wine spritzer and spude cheese with pretzel pastry.
How does this experience take place?
- Welcome and introduction by experienced driving instructors from Boatschule-Bingen
- Practice the most important maneuvers with the driving instructors
- Control of a modern sports boat by the participants
- Exploring the impressive landscape of the Romantic Middle Rhine or the Rheinauen towards Mainz
- Constant guidance and assistance from driving instructors during the trip
In case of extreme weather, the event must be rescheduled.
You are welcome to complement this experience with a wine tasting for 25€ per person. The wine tasting includes 4 selected wines, a prosecco, as well as water and pretzel pastries and lasts around 2 hours.

Who is it suitable for
The experience is suitable for anyone who enjoys water sports and would like to be captain of a pleasure boat for once. A pleasure boat license is not required.
The course is suitable for groups of 4 people or more. Since 4 people can travel per boat, at least 4 more tickets must always be purchased.
