About this class
In this special ikebana workshop, we combine the traditional Japanese art of arranging flowers with the original beauty of native wild plants. Instead of classic cut flowers, we consciously work with materials from the wild: grasses, twigs and seasonal wildflowers become expressive compositions.
Together, we explore the design principles of ikebana — line, space, balance and reduction — and learn how to translate the peculiarities of wild plants into harmonious arrangements. The focus is not on perfection, but on mindful perception and design with what nature offers us.
The workshop includes:
- An introduction to the basics of ikebana
- Inspirations for using wild plants in arrangements
- Practical exercises with individually collected or provided material
- Tips for sustainable and respectful collecting in nature
This course is aimed at anyone who wants to develop their creativity, find a new approach to nature and experience the calm, meditative quality of ikebana — without any previous knowledge.
In my ikebana courses, you will learn how to create unusual arrangements using special techniques. As a certified ikebana teacher from the Japanese Sogetsu School, I teach genuine Japanese floral art. In my studio in Falkensee, you can get to know this special art.
I am happy to accompany you on your personal flower journey.
