About this class
Design your own wax ring in our wax carving workshop! In 4 hours, you will learn the technique of wax modelling, fine-tune and design your ring shape according to your ideas. After the course, your design will be cast in sterling silver or, by appointment, in 14k gold — your finished ring will be ready for collection in approx. 2 weeks. No previous experience required, all materials included!
What you’ll do in the class
- We start with a short introduction to the various materials and tools
- Then adjust your wax ring to your size
- You can then design it according to your ideas. There are various techniques, all of which you can try out during the workshop. You have enough time to design your ring exactly the way you want
- At the end of the workshop, we will clean it up, as you can see every little detail in your finished silver ring afterwards
After the workshop, I will take your ring to a foundry, where it will be cast in either silver or gold (by appointment) at your request. Then I rework your ring a bit, polish and clean it as you wish. You will receive your finished ring back approximately two weeks later.
It is also possible to integrate stones into your design.
