About this class
In this photo course, you will learn how to take pictures in different lighting conditions, from sunset to blue hour to blackness of night.
The course schedule:
- We meet at Augsburg Town Hall Square to start directly outdoors.
- After a short introductory round, we immediately start with practical exercises.
- The magnificent Renaissance buildings serve as a motif for our refresher on the basics of photography.
- We practice long-term photography and use our stands.
- Just in time for blue hour, we have suitably positioned our stands at Hercules Fountain.
- With St. Ulrich Church in the background, we put what we have learned into practice.
- After dusk, we take a short trip to light painting to complete the workshop.

What to bring to the class
- A system or SLR camera with the option to manually adjust ISO, aperture and time.
- 3 leg stand (monopods/monopads are not suitable)
- Camera manual, if available.
- Fully charged battery, ideally a charged replacement battery.
- Memory card with space for approx. 300 pictures
- Please dress warmly for the weather and, especially in winter (we'll be in the same spot for some time during long exposure photography)!
If available, you are welcome to bring the following:
- A second lens (we work in the focal length range of 18-50 mm)
- Polarizing filter, ND filter, gray gradient filter
- Remote shutter
- A diffuser
