Learn how to use your clip-on flash effectively and make full use of its functions. We'll show you how to master the interplay between lighting, camera and flash and vary it according to your wishes. From basic teaching to advanced techniques, we cover everything.
What topics are we going to cover?
- Understand the technical basics of lightning (e.g. flash sync speed, shutter curtain, HSS/ lighting, etc.)

What you’ll do in the class
1. Theoretical basics: At the beginning of the course, we will briefly teach you the most important theoretical basics. You'll learn everything about flash control, unleashed lightning, the use of various light shapers and the right accessories. You have the opportunity to try out various flash sets in real situations — from subtle subject lighting to high-speed synchronization.
2. Practical exercises in the studio: We immediately put what we have learned into practice. You will learn how to take pictures with the flash without the images appearing “dead” and creating strong drop shadows.
3. Practical outdoor exercises: You will learn how to separate the foreground light from the background light in your shots in order to create a breathtaking picture look for portraits and fashion shots.
4. Image design: Finally, we'll discuss techniques to make your pictures more exciting. You'll learn how to take impressive photos through composition, perspective and lighting.
