About this class
Clay & Wine is an evening course that invites you to round off your working day comfortably and get creative. With a bottle of natural wine (non-alcoholic variants are also possible), we design sculptural objects or vessels for everyday use using clay as a material. Plates, cups, bowls, candle holders, small vases or completely free forms can be created using the three basic construction techniques.
What you’ll do in the class
After an initial introduction to the material sound and the studio leramics, all participants are invited to become familiar with the material sound through an initial modelling exercise.
Your own project can then be implemented. You can choose between different stoneware clay bodies and mix them together to get a marbling. The three basic removal techniques such as thumb, bead and plate techniques are taught and together we can find out which technique is best suited for implementing your project!
Choose one of two glazes (transparent/magma) and pick up your finished ceramics 3-4 weeks later - the glazing and firing process are taken care of for you and are included in the price.

Who is the class suitable for?
The course is suitable for beginners as well as advanced learners.
Due to the small group size of max. 6 participants, individual support is possible and every person participating can be addressed.
