About this class
Each participant makes their own cutting board from high-quality solid wood. After a brief introduction, the type of wood and shape are selected and the board is processed step by step — from cutting to fine sanding to the oiled surface.
Finally, each cutting board can be individually designed, e.g. with special edges, recessed grips or a personal mark.
What you’ll do in the class
1. Introduction
We start with a short round of introductions. We will then explain the course of the workshop and how to safely use the hand machines.
2nd main part — creative phase
The individual work steps are explained step by step. Everyone can then start producing their own product.
Meanwhile, the course instructor accompanies the entire process, provides assistance and is always available to answer questions.
3rd break
The break is necessary so that the glue can harden enough so that you can continue working on the workpiece.
The time can be used to eat something or even drink a coffee.
4. Individual design
Each participant can individually design their own product with various materials and milling processes.
5. Conclusion
Finally, we look at the results obtained together.
