About this class

We Will Cook: Scacce Ragusane paired with Pastiere di Carne & Tomasini di Ricotta

“Scacce”, the Sicilian for “Focacce”, is a typical baked product of the province of Ragusa and part of the popular gastronomic tradition.

It consists of a focaccia with different types of toppings placed between two or more layers of bread-like dough. The scaccia is consumed mainly during the Christmas period, while the breaded version, which has a round shape, is consumed during the Easter period.

Pasttiere di Carne and Tomasini di Ricotta are featured in this class as the most iconic representations of typical baked products from Scicli and Modica.

Explore the rich history, culture, and symbolism of Sicily through the art of Sicilian cuisine. From traditional dishes to diverse variations, our classes offer a comprehensive experience.

With a duration of 3 to 4 hours, participants dive deep into the culinary traditions of Sicily. We provide all the essentials for a seamless experience, including a welcome drink, unlimited Sicilian red and white wine, shots, and water throughout the class.

At the end of the class, each participant receives a recipe booklet with all the information shared during the class.
