About this class
In this course, we draw a digital 3D model. This innovative format provides new insights for you and your drawing practice:
- The model can be rotated and turned: This allows you to discover new perspectives, such as a bird's eye view.
- The model can assume poses that would be impossible for a human model in the long run. For example, you can draw the model while jumping or doing difficult acrobatic exercises.
- Light and shadow can be adjusted to better understand volumes.
- You'll also practice translating from 3D to 2D — the three-dimensional model is projected onto a two-dimensional surface, and we'll draw that.
What you’ll do in the class
The course is similar to “normal” nude drawing courses:
After a few shorter poses (between 1 and 5 minutes long), we set 3 to 4 longer poses (15 to 20 minutes).
The course instructor Saman gives you individual support.
Who is the class suitable for?
The course is perfect for anyone who is curious about unusual poses and wants to deepen their drawing practice.
This course is also useful for beginners: Body shapes are very clearly visible in the model, you can zoom in, and the translation of a three-dimensional shape into a two-dimensional drawing is made easier by drawing the projection.
