About this Tour
Explore Salzburg and the Bavarian Alps on a private 2-day tour with your own guide and luxury vehicle. Day 1 covers the UNESCO Old Town, iconic Sound of Music filming locations, the Lake District, and Mondsee Church. Day 2 brings the Hallein salt mines, Berchtesgaden, Obersalzberg with its WWII documentation center, and - seasonally - the Eagle's Nest. Optional upgrades to Munich, Vienna, or Prague available. Steps of the tour
- Day 1: Hotel pickup in Salzburg
- Guided tour through the UNESCO Old Town
- Visit to Sound of Music filming locations and the Lake District
- Stop at Mondsee Wedding Church
- Day 2: Drive into the mountains - Hallein salt mines
- Visit to Berchtesgaden and Obersalzberg (WWII documentation center and bunkers)
- Ascent to the Eagle's Nest (May - October, weather permitting)
- Each day approximately 8 hours, with return transfer to your hotel
