Experience an unforgettable wine tasting in the oldest wine town in Franconia, Hammelburg. A unique candlelit wine tasting awaits you at the historic Schloss Saaleck winery. After a cellar tour with a glass of Secco, you will hike to the vineyards, where you will enjoy a selection of fine wines between the historic vineyard walls. Let yourself be enchanted by the atmosphere and stories about Franconian wine and forget everyday life for a few hours. Either in the historic vineyard house or in the wooden barrel cellar, we enjoy a hearty snack plate during further wine tastings.
What you’ll do in the class
- Welcome with a glass of Secco at Saaleck Castle with insights into the history of Franconia's oldest wine town
- Guided tour of the historic vineyards with the winemaker. Here we explain the variety of grapevines, the vineyard work directly on the vine
- Wine tasting between the vine rows with lots of insider tips
- Lunch plate and water at the table. If you would rather eat vegetarian or vegan, please let the winery know in good time
- At the end of the rehearsal, we will take a guided tour of the winery
