About this class
Welcome to the beer homage project honoring the Swedish craft brewery Omnipollo and their visual artist Karl Grandin.
During our 2-hour acrylic paint workshop, you dive into the psychedelic world of Omnipollo. Inspiration surrounds you – on the walls of the bar, rugs, moving animations, cans and Karl's new book that you're invited to flick through. Stencils inspired by the brewery's imagery are specially made for this event and available for you to create your vibrant masterpiece. All equipment serves as a guide to spark your inspiration – you are free to create your own piece of art as you desire. You paint with brushes and markers on 240x330mm high quality acrylic paper. Acrylic colors dry fast, and dryers are ready for your use. To round off your project, you can purchase a frame and hang your painting straight away.
Be part of this unique experience that engages several of your senses and changes how you perceive the world of beer, art and bar culture.
What you’ll do in the class
During the event, you taste four craft beers and hear the story of the brewery, its founders Henok Fentie and Karl Grandin, and their beers. Still and sparkling water are available, as well as snacks and pizza slices.
Please note that we currently offer the beer tasting with a selection of craft beers from various breweries, usually without Omnipollo beers. The location remains the original Hamburg Omnipollo bar, and Karl's art remains an integral part of the experience.
