As a canoe sailor or paddler, this safety training gives you the basics for safe behavior on the water.
Security comes from clarity of mind.
In the theoretical part, you will learn how to prepare a canoe sailing trip. You learn to correctly assess situations, to remain calm and to act thoughtfully at the decisive moments.
In sailing, people speak of “relaxed” and “tense situations.” The aim is to recognize early on how a situation is developing and to remain relaxed through timely action or to quickly get out of a tense situation back into a relaxed situation.
This offer is also aimed at paddlers, as many have little experience with tense situations on the water. In the practical exercise, you set up your canoe/sailing canoe again after capsizing and make it clear to sail. You practice the individual steps and gain confidence in your own actions. This is how you develop a routine and become more confident.
The safety training is ideal as preparation for the subsequent canoe sailing course.

What to bring?
- weather-appropriate clothing
- Change of clothes (warm, for after water)

- own sailing canoe or folding sailboat (if available)

- Theory unit (approx. 2 hours)

In the morning we do theory and after the lunch break (12:00 — 13:00) we go out on the water to practice.
