About this class

Shellac, obtained from the resin of a louse, is a pure natural product and has been used in furniture making for centuries to seal surfaces. Polishing wafer-thin layers by hand creates mirror surfaces with unique depth and shine, which give the underlying wood an incomparable look. In our course, you will learn the basics of shellac polish, how it works and, after an introduction, give your first piece of wood a handmade shellac surface.

You will learn how to seal and repair surfaces with natural shellac polish.
