What is Neriage about?
You choose three tone colors of your choice and learn how to create your own, diverse and unique patterns. Get creative and see how your patterns come into their own on a vase, cup or stackable bowls.
This unique pottery course takes place in a beautiful studio in Frankfurt. Everything you need to make pottery is ready for you. I am looking forward to getting to know you and introducing you to the art of making pottery with this special technique.
Notes:
- Clay can be washed out of clothing. If you still want to protect your clothes, feel free to bring an apron.
- Short fingernails are an advantage when making pottery, and you should also remove rings.
- We usually work standing up. If you prefer to sit, chairs are of course also available.
How does this activity work?
- You get 3 different types of clay: an undyed tone and 2 colored types of clay of your choice. I'll show you how you can combine them to create your own designs. This design can take shape and bring a vase, cup or stackable bowls to life. I am happy to assist you with design development.
- Here it quickly becomes clear that the same technique produces different results and that everyone creates an individual piece in the end. Because it's not just about technology, it's also about your own handwriting.
- With the remaining sound, I'll show you a second technique with which you can design an individual plate.
- Due to the small group size of a maximum of 6 participants, you have enough time to try things out and I can provide you with intensive and individual support.
- Each person produces approx. 2-4 pieces, depending on the effort and size.
- After the course, I will continue working on your work of art: I burn and glaze it with a transparent glaze that brings out the colors of the clay in particular and at the same time makes it suitable for everyday use.
- I will then notify you as soon as your items are ready for collection. This takes approximately 2 to 4 weeks.
Who should definitely take part?
The workshop is suitable for beginners, no previous knowledge is required.
The course instructors will individually address your level of knowledge and support you in implementing your design.
