About this experience
Join us on a journey through the seasons and discover native wild plants throughout the year. Each hike is dedicated to herbs, trees and medicinal plants that characterize this period and have been used for generations in cooking, medicine cabinet, customs and folk beliefs.
Together, you will learn how to recognize plants safely, learn more about their traditional uses and dive into the world of ethnobotany, i.e. the relationship between humans and plants. Stories, myths and old customs about the annual festivals will accompany you as well as practical tips for everyday life.
The hikes combine nature experience, plant knowledge and cultural traditions. They invite you to see the landscape with new eyes. Whether you're a beginner or a plant lover, every season offers new discoveries.

What to bring?
Weather-appropriate clothing, sturdy and comfortable shoes, drinking water, sun protection, as well as a notepad and pen for your own notes.
Above all, bring curiosity, open senses and a love of nature.

How does this experience take place?
After a short greeting, you set off together. Along the route, you will get to know the wild plants that are particularly important in each season. In doing so, you will discover their distinctive features, their habitat and their traditional use in cooking, folk medicine and customs.
Time and again, we make small stops to take a closer look at plants, smell them, taste them or learn about their stories and cultural backgrounds. Depending on the annual festival, topics such as mythology, ethnobotany and old traditions are also incorporated into the migration.
At the end, there is a small tasting or herbal sample suitable for the season as well as space for questions and exchange. You don't need any previous knowledge. The only important thing is curiosity, weather-appropriate clothing and the joy of experiencing nature with all your senses.
Who is it suitable for
The herb hikes are aimed at all people interested in nature who want to get to know local wild plants better and learn more about their use, history and cultural significance. No previous experience is required.
The course is particularly suitable for people who are interested in wild herbs, medicinal plants, nature education, ethnobotany, customs and annual festivals. The hike also offers exciting insights for gardening enthusiasts, yoga practitioners, hiking enthusiasts and anyone who wants to establish a deeper connection with nature.
