About this class
Did you know that every German drinks around 169 liters of coffee per year on average? For many of us, coffee is a daily companion — quickly, naturally and often on the side. But what is actually behind it?
In this coffee workshop, you dive into the world behind your cup and discover coffee in a completely new way. It is not just about knowledge, but above all about a new perspective on something that accompanies us every day.
You will get an understandable and practical insight into the differences between industrial coffee and specialty coffee. Together, we look at what quality really means, how sustainable coffee buying works and what role seals, origin and supply chains actually play — beyond marketing and packaging.
The particular focus is on experience: coffee is not only explained here, but also made tangible with all senses.
During a joint cupping tasting session, you will try different coffees and learn how professionals rate coffee. You train your sense of smell and taste and discover how different coffee can taste — depending on origin, preparation and roasting.
Many participants then report that they perceive coffee in a completely different way than before: more consciously, more differentiated and with a new understanding of what happens in the cup.
Through personal experiences from the coffee world and our passion for the topic, we take everyone with us — whether a beginner or someone who has already worked more intensively with coffee. No previous experience required, just curiosity and a desire to experience coffee in a different way.
The workshop is ideal for individuals, groups of friends or as a joint experience in a team. In a relaxed atmosphere, space is created for exchange, enjoyment and new perspectives on an everyday drink that suddenly becomes much more profound.
An experience for anyone who not only wants to drink coffee, but really wants to understand it.
