About this class
In this workshop, you create figures out of plaster or creatively immortalize your own hand.
- Build animal and superhero figures on a sturdy wire mesh frame
- Shape the body with strips of fabric soaked in plaster
- Continue to work out your work of art layer by layer
- Pour your own hand into plaster and paint it according to your ideas
- Decorate your plaster hand with pearls, glitter or shells if you wish
After drying, you can continue painting your work of art at home.

Location and accessibility
In the cozy courtyard studio in the former horse stable in western Cologne, there is a fully equipped sculpture studio.
What you’ll do in the class
- You will get to know the technology and develop a feeling for working with plaster.
- You then design your work three-dimensionally and work out form by form.
- A sketch in sound helps you to clearly work out your idea.
- Whether abstract or concrete: You will receive individual support throughout the workshop.
