The photo tour When it gets dark in Berlin shows the city in its mysterious, clear night mood. We explore light trails, reflections and urban structures, learn to apply long exposures and night photography in a practical way. The focus is on image design, perspective and conscious vision — for expressive, atmospheric cityscapes.
What you’ll do in the class
The three-hour tour starts at sunset, so we can make the most of the blue hour. From Potsdamer Platz via the Brandenburg Gate and the government district to Friedrichstraße train station, we discover atmospheric places for night photography. You actively take pictures, receive tips on camera settings, lighting, subject selection and composition, and can ask individual questions — in a practical way, step by step and without technical jargon.
Who is the class suitable for?
The tour is aimed at amateur photographers and Berlin lovers who want to dive into night photography. Previous experience is helpful but not required. Curiosity, the joy of discovering the city at night and the desire to consciously capture light, architecture and movement photographically are important.
