About this class

Sea painting made of synthetic resin — desire for the sea...

In this workshop, you create your own seascape — full of depth, movement and that special peace that only the sea radiates.

Layer by layer, a work of art is created that looks as if it were flowing. Smooth transitions, powerful structures and bright colors combine to create an image that immerses you anew every time.

I'll show you my techniques for creating water, waves and this fascinating depth — without any rigid guidelines, but with lots of feeling and space for your own expression.

We work on Aludibond 30 x 50 cm or wooden board.

Instructor: Sibylle Hoppe - Billy Hope

I had my first encounter with epoxy resin today. My goal was to create a sea picture with a beach. The course was small, there were only three of us, including the course instructor Sibylle. The small but nice studio offered everything you needed to work. The materials were top-notch, as were Sibylle's instructions. We were skilfully guided through all steps of processing. When things got a bit difficult, for example when making the waves, Sibylle was immediately there. Everyone was able to live out their vision of the picture to be created, Sibylle responded to all special requests. I'm super happy with my picture, it's definitely on the wall at home. A thoroughly great workshop.
