What you’ll do in the class
Dive into the fascinating world of tufting and experience:
- Theory on the magic carpet
- Design and variants of the tufting gun
- Finding motifs and discovering your style
- Tufting steps and the basics of wool science
- Stringing the tufting frame with drum test
- Apply your design with permanent marker
- Creative design of your own rug, line by line
- Tips and tricks for tufting and finishing with carpet razors and duckbill scissors
- Fixation of the frame for a perfect result
After two to five weeks, you can pick up your finished rug from the studio or have it sent to your home.
At the end, you will receive a tufting artist certificate and your own creative rug in A4 format.
You are welcome to bring drinks and food with you.
Who is the class suitable for?
- Accompanied children aged 4 and over (The children draw the motif on the tufted cloth alone or with the help of an adult. The tufting gun is then held and controlled together during tufting)
- Alone from 10 years
