What you’ll do in the class
Dive into the fascinating world of tufting and experience:
- Theory on the magic carpet
- Tufting gun structure and variants
- Motivation and style discovery
- Steps in tufting and wool gauge
- Stringing the tufting frame with drum test
- Apply your subject with permanent marker
- Creative design of your own rug, line by line
- Tips and tricks for tufting and finishing with carpet razors and duckbill scissors
- Fixation of the frame for a perfect result
- A lovingly designed “Tufting Happy Ending To Go” set with instructions for the dry season of your rug
After 2 weeks, you can pick up your finished rug from the studio yourself, or choose to have it shipped to your home (plus shipping costs)
At the end, you will receive a tufting artist certificate with your own creative rug in A3+ format
Who is the class suitable for?
- Accompanied children aged 4 and over (The children draw the motif on the tufted cloth alone or with the help of an adult. The tufting gun is then held and controlled together during tufting)
