About this class
In this ceramics workshop in Berlin, you will learn how to design your own fully functional teapot using the coiling technique. With guided instruction, you will shape and personalize your unique piece and decorate it with colored slips (engobes). After the workshop, your teapot will be professionally fired and glazed, and ready for pickup approximately two weeks later. Enjoy a creative hands-on experience and take home a one-of-a-kind handmade piece!

What you’ll do in the class
Meeting point: RAW-Gelände, brick building across MAAYA
Please be there 5 minutes before the workshop and I will take you upstairs in my studio.
- Welcome and introduction to the coiling technique
- Step-by-step guidance for building your own teapot
- Shaping and personalizing your unique teapot
- Optional: Decorating with colored slips (engobes)
- Final step: Your teapot will be professionally fired and glazed in the studio
- After approximately 2 weeks: Pickup or shipping of your finished teapot

This workshop is designed for anyone who enjoys creative work with clay—whether beginner or advanced. It is especially suitable for those who would like to create a unique, functional ceramic piece or are looking for a special handmade gift experience.
The course is held in English and welcomes international participants. German support is also available if needed.
