About this class
Whether it's a calendar, journal, drawing book or one for photos or recipes — individual design is fun! In this course, you will learn the basic techniques for binding books.
What you’ll do in the class
Leporellos, notebooks or small books can be bound in small formats.
Binding is done with thread stitching and an open spine.
If available, you are welcome to bring tools such as large rulers, small embroidery needles, folding legs, etc.
If you participate in the “Paper Scooping” workshop in advance, the resulting papers, which have previously been embellished with blossoms, found objects, feathers, glitter or embossing made of, for example, lace, can be included.
The endpaper can be selected in color, as can the cover. A bookmark is also a nice detail.

Bookbinding is suitable for anyone who wants to be creative and create something new.
No previous experience is necessary!

We took a bookbinding course with 7th grade girls. The lecturer was very nice and competent. Everyone had lots of fun and ended up with their own book! 😁
