Sareh Mokhtari book classes

I am an Iranian artist who has been working in the field of visual arts in Iran for over 10 years. I started painting with the classic Realism and now I continue my work with a combination of surreal and conceptual art. As a female painter, I used to face a lot of restrictions for creating an artwork or holding exhibitions in my home country due to lack of freedom and various restrictions for artists. Additionally, the main subjects of my paintings are related to society, culture, religion and of course women which was making it even more difficult for me to continue. Hence, I decided to move from my motherland to be able to create my own ideas without any censorship.

Since 2021, I have been living in Austria and settled in beautiful Vienna. Nowadays, I'm trying to find an art community or artists with similar ideas and concerns to be able to introduce and present my new ideas and my new potential artworks collection.
