Hi,
I'm Anna, the founder of Plantastic Cakes. Together with my team, we supply all cake seekers across Germany with our baking boxes. Stuttgart residents know me from my vegan Café Isla, which I ran on Büchsenstraße for two years.
Even before I was in a café, I loved to sweeten the stressful everyday life of others with delicious cakes. In the beginning, I baked with eggs, milk and butter. But due to increasing demand, I took on the challenge and developed purely plant-based cake creations. The funny thing about it was that baking was even easier and more convenient — without separating eggs, whipping up butter and having to worry about whipping cream over and ending up with butter...
In addition, the individual ingredients tasted better because the egg flavor no longer prevailed, as I have often experienced with traditional cakes. That made the cakes much more delicious and I was also able to convince my non-vegan regular customers with it. After baking, I came to the conclusion that I could live very well without dairy products and eggs in other areas (I had been vegetarian for a long time anyway) and so I've been vegan for 2 years now. I love to convince my guests with good taste that they don't have to miss out on anything when they start eating more environmentally and animal-friendly.
In the run-up to Christmas, a customer in the café asked me if I would also send cake as she would like to give one to a friend. There would be neither a bakery with plant-based cakes nor the vegan ingredients in the supermarket “in the countryside” and that's how the idea for the baking boxes was born
