Get to know Mobile Dunkelkammer
My name is Sabine Alex. I am a lecturer in analog photography and a photographer. I enjoy being creative in my darkroom and passing on this passion for photography to my course participants.
In 2010 I developed the idea of a mobile darkroom on a bus - my Kurt - and set myself up with this project at the beginning of 2012. I now work for festivals, schools, universities, museums, associations, socio-cultural institutions and many more throughout Germany. Since October 2014, I have also been working in a permanent studio at the BLO studios in Berlin-Lichtenberg. Here I give analog photo workshops and rent out the darkroom and my associated photo studio to photographers and analog lovers. Through networking with analog photographers and my work at the analog photography festival AnalogueNow! , as well as the collaboration with my fellow artists from the BLO-Ateliers, my work is positively enriched.
