I am enthusiastic and creative for everything related to ikebana. My training as an ikebana teacher is certified by Sogetsu School Japan.
I am also a self-taught ceramicist and hobbyist in all walks of life, blogger and clothing seamstress. And as a graduate social pedagogue, I combine ikebana with personal development. If you would like to become an ikebana teacher yourself, I can provide you with intensive and professional support in accordance with the Sogetsu School curriculum. And if you just want to put together beautiful flower arrangements in the ikebana style, I would be happy to show you that.
Ikebana, Japanese floral art, was originally practiced only in Japan for centuries and spread to more and more countries after the Second World War. Because of Germany's special connection to Japan, many Japanese people live here with us. That's how I met my Japanese girlfriend through the joint ikebana. She has always encouraged me to sell Ikebana to many people because general interest in it has unfortunately waned in recent years. After she had to leave us so early, I feel called upon to make sure that ikebana lives on with us as an important part of Japanese culture. We, in the land of the “setting sun,” know symmetrical wreaths and lush flower bouquets; Japanese floral art is the asymmetrical addition and perhaps cultural extension of our creativity.
I have been teaching Ikebana, Japanese floral art, in courses and workshops in Berlin and Brandenburg for about 10 years. Since Corona, there have also been online courses, which gives people interested in Ikebana the opportunity to get to know this extraordinary floral art if there are no courses nearby.
In Falkensee, very close to Berlin-Spandau, I have a small studio for max. 4 participants with a wild garden full of ikebana options. In Berlin-Kreuzberg, I can book a nice large room for max. 8 participants for my course offerings.
