Inner Wilderness - Nature Coaching and Forest Adventures

I am the founder of “Inner Wilderness.” My name is Nina Niederstrasser and I enthusiastically accompany children on their journeys of discovery through nature. My mission is to give children more real adventures, movement and experiences of nature again — far away from screens and everyday stress.
My passion for the forest began as a child. Being outdoors, building huts, watching animals and experiencing nature with all my senses has shaped me. Today I would like to pass on exactly these experiences to children and show them how exciting, creative and educational nature can be. For me, the forest is the most beautiful learning and adventure space of all. Nature education programs have been proven to promote creativity, movement, perception and independent learning.
Because I worked with children for around 8 years as a primary school teacher and was able to strengthen their development, I know how to deal with children and pass on the feeling of adventure to them in an educational way.
Our location is the forest itself (Schulenberg Forest in Hattingen) — a natural experience full of adventures, secrets and opportunities. Between trees, forest trails, clearings and natural playgrounds, children discover nature in a very special way.
The forest offers everything children need for creative play and discovery: sticks, leaves, moss, natural materials, exciting hiding places and plenty of space to move around. We embark on a forest bathing mission and experience exciting adventures.
To ensure that every child has enough space to discover and personal care remains possible, the forest adventures take place in manageable groups of 6 children. This creates a family atmosphere in which everyone feels at home and has space for new friendships.
My forest adventures do not focus on performance or competition, but on curiosity, joy and shared experience. Children can discover the forest with all their senses, research, build, play and let their imagination run wild.
Every day brings new adventures: We solve exciting nature puzzles, build forest works of art, learn something about plants and animals in a playful way and experience the forest as a large adventure playground. At the same time, team spirit, self-confidence, creativity and respectful treatment of nature are promoted. Such holistic experiences of nature strengthen children's perception and personal development.
It is particularly important to me that the children not only receive knowledge about nature, but also experience genuine closeness to nature and learn that the forest, far away from any digitalization, can be a real source of strength that enables them to deal with challenges in everyday life in a more relaxed way.
Each event is individually tailored to the group. Whether it's a treasure hunt, forest Olympics, naturalist adventures, team games or creative forest activities — spending time together in nature creates unforgettable experiences and strengthens cohesion.
What makes my events special is the combination of adventure, nature experience and community. The children experience real challenges, discover their abilities and collect memories that go far beyond an ordinary trip. The forest provides the perfect backdrop for this: exciting, varied and full of surprises. In the same way, the children get away from digital media and experience the more original living space again.
