About me
I am Charlotte, a ceramist from Berlin. My passion for ceramics began a few years ago after trying out many different creative techniques. It wasn't until I worked with sound that I had really found my medium. Since then, ceramics have been with me every day — as a craft, creative form of expression and profession.
I am particularly fascinated by the endless possibilities offered by clay and glazes. In addition to turning the potter's wheel, I am intensively involved in glaze development and mix my glazes myself. Over the years, I've built up a collection of more than 100 of my own glazes — from strong colors to natural, organic surfaces.
My studio
My classes take place in my bright and colorful studio in Berlin. It was important to me to create a space that felt personal and inviting and not like a traditional course room. Plants, ceramics and a quiet atmosphere make the studio a place where you can forget everyday life for a few hours and concentrate entirely on working with your hands.
I consciously work with just a few pottery wheels and small groups. This allows me to individually support each person and respond to different learning speeds and interests.
Classes & Workshops
My workshops are aimed primarily at beginners, but are also suitable for people with previous experience. I offer both short taster courses and courses lasting several days, in which participants learn the entire process from turning to turning to glazing.
A particular focus of my courses is on glazes. I not only teach the practical techniques of pottery, but also provide insights into materials, glaze chemistry and health and safety aspects in ceramics. It is important to me that people understand what they are working with and feel safe using the materials.
Private events & team events
I also offer private workshops and team events upon request. The small group size creates a relaxed and personal atmosphere that is particularly suitable for joint creative experiences. Whether with friends, family or colleagues — ceramics create space for exchange, concentration and lots of fun designing together.
